I've read this book a couple of times before. It's not my absolute favorite but I don't hate it. I also have the same version as you. Yes, the H wasn't the best of NJ's H's but it was actually the h that made the book for me. She didn't take his crap. I think she stood up for herself. I liked that when the H was trying grovel but she wasn't having it.
Yes, I agree, the h was a great character. Very strong. And she did really make him work hard for forgiveness. I just felt like she deserved a better H. Damien from The Seduction was much more convincing in his reform.
With Damien, you could see the changes in him. For example, when he was getting to emotionally involved with Vanessa, he backed away and stopped coming to her bed. Or when he was with Clune at the Hellfire League party and he couldn't be with anyone else. Even when he was teaching her the tricks of being a courtesan you could tell he wasn't happy about it. With Niall, until he went after her, you didn't know he cared for her. And that was the difference. Damien showed his changing emotions and Niall's just seemed to magically appear.
Banana Boat, Law Man has a sweetie for a hero. He has more beta characteristics. I really loved Mitch. I think you will enjoy the story.
I know, I know, I'll stop talking about Law Man soon but Mitch is cracking me up! His remarks about the "Trailer Trash Twins" and "Operation Take Out the Trash" had me laughing.
Don't know how I started to read this but I did and so far I don't love it but I don't hate it. The main characters separate are interesting but together I find them boring and unrealistic in their "perfect they complete" each other roles.

I love this series, but It Ain't Me, Babe was my least favorite of all the books.
I just started book two, and I like it so much better than the first one. It honestly fell flat, they were interesting stories each character had, his muteness, her background, but as a couple they didn't work for me. Though I kind of saw it coming, I was pleasantly surprised with Rider and the secret he was hiding.
Mostly the one that I want to read more about is Flame.

Flame's book is my favorite of all of them. You do need to read them in order, though. Let me know what you think of it when you get to it.
Once Upon A Rose. I'm on a Laura Florand kick at the moment. I've completed her Amour et Chocolat series. I'm now reading Once Upon A Rose first book in the La vie en Roses series.

I will be reading them in order, I can't wait to read more of Flame and Maddie!
So far I have enjoyed Ky Lilah's book. I enjoyed the growth of each character, specially Lilah who was taken out of the only home she knew, and she's so torn between what was ingrained into her and her faith. It is sad to read how she views her beauty and how the ugly words said to her still echo in her mind every time anyone refers to her physical beauty. Ky who was smitten by that beauty is falling in love with the person she is, and how far he is willing to go to help her get her confidence back. And his course language softens (he still curses but it's deliver is soft compared to the beginning) the closer he gets to her
when he explains what rape is, that was heart breaking since she didn't know that was done to her was wrong, and not a mandate of the prophet as he believed.
I am so mad at Cain, I know he has his own book but how will he be redeemed? Everything he has done since book 1 makes him unlikable but in this book...there's no redemption for him in my eyes. My guess is that he will get worse in the 3rd book. I doubt I will read his book.

You really should read his book because he is redeemed in the end. I didn't think he could be either, but I think the author managed to bring it about in the only way possible. IMHO, of course. I understand if you decide not to read it, though.
Just finished. This lady can do an epilogue right! Shades epilogue had me ugly crying and this one hit right in the feels as well. Taking the epilogues out of the equation, the book was better than a lot of MC books like most of hers are but it was not one of my favorites of hers. This one and Lucky's one were good but I just didn't buy the transformation from 3'somes to one woman man like in an instant. Out of all the books I think those two would be the most likely to eventually cheat because the switch was too instant and such a drastic change from their normal. I did like it though. There was a lot of focus on other characters so maybe that is why I wasn't buying the H change so easily, there wasn't enough time spent on the H/h relationship as I needed. I would like to ask how many "club girls" have to turn nasty before these guys acknowledge that maybe their sharing lifestyle is not as harmless as they insist it is.
