When in the mood for a medical romance, I really like Candace Calvert. She was an ER nurse but had to give it up after an injury. They feel quite authentic to me. Some Christian content, but she's not heavy handed.
Anything by Betty Neels is great. Her books a such comfort reads for me. Her books almost always have the hero being a rich Dutch doctor and the heroine is almost always an English nurse, who ranges between being mousey or beautiful. My favourites are:
Midnight Sun's Magic Romantic Encounter Judith The Doubtful Marriage Carolines Waterloo Never Too Late Never While The Grass Grows
Inspirational Medical romance. Author is a nurse. I really like this series and this is a great price for three books. Her single books are usually $5 to $10.
You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.
D R Grady does just a few kisses - that are not explicitly described -- then after the wedding the h is pregnant. The Morrison Family series starts with The Nerd and the Marine
We'll Always Have Christmas by Jenny Hale is a clean romance. I only rated it 3 stars though, not because of the clean part, but the story was blah to me. If you are in the mood for a Christmas romance with no drama, this is perfect. Full length novel too which you don't really find with Christmas reads.
I like yours too. My Feline Overlord is Chesed, who is a rescue kitty. When he came to me last year in July, I noticed that he would yowl at his food and keep batting his mouth. The vet found 12 of his teeth needed to be pulled in September - he started eating a bit more and not yelling at the food. However, he later stated not eating again and batting his mouth when looking at the food. Finally, in August of this year, after trying topical pain killers and antibiotics (and my blood several times) all his remaining teeth but the two front fangs were removed. Between then and now he gained 4 lbs. He is now a fat cat at 13lbs from His Skinniness when I got him at 7.5lbs. What he curled up in for the picture was an old flower pot near the fireplace, which he's now too big for -- now he inhabits an Amazon box near the window. However he glares at me several time when he tries to get into the flower pot and can't seem to get all parts of him inside it. I feel real good about that.
You are good to rescue a kitty! Must he eat canned food? Several years ago, our inside only cat got out. I looked at the SPCA and the no-kill kitty shelter nearer to our home. The SPCA worker told me a wealthy woman in a fancy car, dropped off kittens there. She said to the worker "I don't know why may cat keeps having babies!!!!" Huh and duh!!
PS We found our cat with the help of a pet psychic.

peepicheep, How old was your cat when he had to have his teeth pulled? Poor baby, he must have been miserable. Lucky he adopted you! Years ago I had a cat that came with the house we bought and he ended up having some teeth pulled. You hate to see them hurt. My male cat came from a no-kill shelter. Both my cats are total inside cats. We live sort of out in the country and tend to have foxes now and then. i don't want anyone to go missing!!
