If you haven't read Nero (Made Men Book 1) do yourself a favor and read it. This is a favorite of mine. While the H and h are in high school, which is unappealing, it's fantastic! This is a favorite of many on the Ammy j/-p thread.

tangerine -
The book starts out with them in high school, senior year and she's almost 18. It ends shortly after high school. I know that sounds terrible but it isn't. The H and h come across as more mature and older.
*****spoilers******
The H's dad is a mobster and the h accidentally witnesses a murder. The mobster dad wants to kill the h but he never kills anyone underage. He assigns his son to watch the h and report back to him. The H knows what the h witnessed. The H is a made man already and very involved in his dad's business. He's good looking, popular, and a deadly opponent. Even adults are wary of him. The h's not popular and is kind of a social pariah. The H's social group (& the H) had been mean to the h in the past. The H can have any girl and so he assumes the h will be grateful he talks to her, that he can have her if he wants, etc. Of course the h isn't like the other girls and resists the H. It's good. He becomes a very j/p H very quickly. Their relationship progresses to sex once she's of age. It's so good!
The book has adult language and steamy sex. It's definitely an adult, not teen, book.

Have you read the older brother's book? Nero is made to look immature...so glad that book was written last so my thoughts of Nero wouldn't be tainted by the criticism from the older brother
Yes. I read Lucas and was disappointed in it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. (Not that it was bad. It just wasn't intense or exciting.) Vincent was ok but not fantastic. I haven't liked any of Sarah Brianne's other books as much as I liked Nero.

As a reader who prefers virgin heroines, I am happy all the heroines fit that trope tho. Hoping the rest of the heroines in this series meet that trope so I can read the entire series!
Is she writing more books in the series? I didn't realize.
