How tired are you of hearing everything compared to FSoG

Sorry, I just need to vent a little. I can't even count how many times I've read book reviews that compared the book in question to Fifty Shades of Grey. Either positively or negatively. Enough already!
OMG, you'd think the FSoG was the first BDSM book ever published. In fact, you'd think, from some reviews, that it was the only BDSM book ever published. Holy Crap people, it was neither ground breaking nor a particularly good example of the genre (IMHO). I'm not dissing the book. some people loved it, some hated it, for various reasons. But please stop acting like it revealed some great secret truth to the world. It isn't some golden benchmark against which everything else should be compared.
The first well known book of the genre is probably The Way of a Man with a Maid (anonymous) which likely dates to 1908. I'm sure there are lots of manuscripts that date back further. But even if that's too obscure for you, how about The Story of O published in 1954. Surely you've heard of that!
I thought by now it would have died out. But I just read a review for the freebie that Samatha K posted that included a FSoG reference. Give. Me. A. Break.
