I realized we didn't have a genre topic for romantic suspense, so I asked our moderator to add it. It's one of my favorite sub-genres. Add your recommended reads for rom sus, your favorite authors, or post which type you like best.
My favorite type is with a psychic H or h, but I also love small town where the H is a sherrif/police chief/emergency responder. Military or prior military would probably be my 3rd choice.

Anything in Julie Miller's Taylor Clan and Precinct series.

I'd love to re-discover Laura Griffin all over again! Same with Nora Roberts/JD Robb. I'd have sooo many "new" books to read instead of rereads, which I'm always doing and makes me happy.
I have read a couple of Allison Brennan books, and then kind of forgot about her. I should try some more of her books.
I like Dale Mayer's Psychic Visions series. The first book Tuesday's Child is one I have reread several times. Some of the later books got a little too weird for me.
Pamela Clare is pretty much my go-to RS author. I love her I-Team series. My favorites of the series are Breaking Point, Naked Edge and Seduction Game. I am also enjoying her latest series, Cobra Elite.
I also like Karen Robards and Sandra Brown. I haven't bought any new books from them in recent years though. I just prefer PC.
One thing that really surprises me is that Karen Rose has listed a new book for 2021. I've been reading her for years and in my opinion she's one of the best RS authors around.
I forgot I had Julie Miller's newest book on pre-order, and it just downloaded. Dead Man District (The Taylor Clan: Firehouse 13 Book 2). I enjoyed the first Firehouse book and getting to catch up with the younger kids from Kansas City's Bravest.
I'm back on a rom-sus reading kick. I read the newest from Kendra Elliot, The First Death. After that I started reading the Bree Taggert series by Melinda Leigh Cross Her Heart (Bree Taggert Book 1) . I've read the first four books so far.
Close Up by Amanda Quick (5/20) 1939 - Burning Cove, California
Welcome to Burning Cove, California where 1930s Hollywood glamour conceals a ruthless killer…
Vivian Brazier never thought life as an art photographer would include nightly wake-up calls to snap photos of grisly crime scenes or headshots for aspiring male actors. Although she is set on a career of transforming photography into a new art form, she knows her current work is what's paying the bills.
After shooting crime scene photos of a famous actress, the latest victim of the murderer the press has dubbed the “Dagger Killer,” Vivian notices eerie similarities to the crime scenes of previous victims -- details that only another photographer would have noticed -- details that put Vivian at the top of the killer's target list.
Nick Sundridge has always been able to “see” things that others don't, coping with disturbing dreams and visions. His talent, or as he puts it -- his curse -- along with his dark past makes him a recluse, but a brilliant investigator. As the only one with the ability to help, Nick is sent to protect Vivian. Together, they discover the Dagger Killer has ties to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood royalty and high society. It is a cutthroat world of allure and deception that Vivian and Nick must traverse -- all in order to uncover the killer who will stop at nothing to add them to their gallery of murders.
