Books by authors that I'm really crazy about I'll tend to remember the release date but enter on to my wish list anyway. My lesser know/read authors I enter to check out when they're released. Sometimes I'll go to my wish list and it takes forever but scroll all the way down to the bottom and work up.
I have a wish list just for upcoming releases. Any upcoming books I receive Amazon notices for that I want to remember gets added to the list then under comments I put the release date. At that point I can drag it down to where it belongs going by the date. As long as I have them in order by release date, earliest to latest, the one's I want next are at the top of the list. When released I can either purchase, move or delete it.

I use a spreadsheet, would look kind of messy to anyone else, but it works for me. Three headings:
1) Maybe Someday 2) Interested If I Have Extra Money 3) Gotta Have It Now
I pretty much focus on the third one and review it occasionally. Depends on the time and interest, say if I just read a book and want to continue the series. Bold font, different colors and bright yellow for new releases. When it's close (and I have the money), I make a note on my credit card spreadsheet so I don't forget. Really helps me not to buy stuff I want so I can get the good stuff, like Rachel Grant's new book on Nov. 21st -- Catalyst is at the top of my Want List! Then if I can scrounge more, Toni Anderson's latest book.

When i get An update for a book i know I’m going to want i recomm It for purchase at my library. I usually get it on release day and can read it to decide if it’s worth buying. I do This for all Nalini Singh, Kresley Cole, Gena Showalter, Ilona Andrews. These are pricey books so it’s nice to see if i love Them and they are with it or not.
I think I'm going to have to get this. MB is kinda hit and miss for me, so I usually try the library first (and the wait list time is soooo long). But this sounds like one I'll like. Thanks for posting it!!
lyn (edit: and Banana Boat), I have read the first two in the series (Someone to Love and Someone to Hold), and they are really good. I did get them from the library, but I have them on my wish list and if they go on sale I will buy them. I enjoyed Someone to Hold a little more than Someone to Love; the hero was really sweet.

ikie, are you using the Amazon wish list? If so, can you tell me how you drag the book down to where it belongs by date?

I did end up getting it and enjoyed it. No big drama, characters I could understand and admire. I'd say it was a 'quiet' story, pretty much what I expected from Mary Balogh. There was a confrontation I was waiting to see happen, and the H came through for me when it happened (and the h did pretty well herself too ). The h didn't wait too long to tell the H about her past (which sometimes drives me NUTS when things are withheld too long). Overall, a good book for me. I think I had read the first book, but not the second. This can be read as a stand alone, although the MC from the other books are in this one.
Someone to Wed Thought I'd better mention the book again and Banana Boat I think I was supposed to let you know when I finished!

ltr, yes I use the Amazon wish list. Once you add the book to the list go into the list and hover your mouse over to the left of the cover page of the book you want to moved and what will appear is options....you will see "top" and clicking on that will move the book to the top of the list but right below that you will see a up and down arrows with bars in-between them, just click and hold on the bars and drag down to where you want to drop it. This is where I find adding the release date to the comments helps (I know the date is in the book info), but comments puts it to the side and makes it fast and easy to see when you are trying to put the books in release date order. Hope this helps. Save

lyn, Yes it was me! Thanks for remembering. I'm glad you enjoyed it and will probably end up reading it. I've enjoyed most all of her books and sounds as if this will be another.

This is so cool! I added the release date in the comments then was able to sort the books by date (which I've always wanted)! Thanks so much for this -- I really appreciate it!
ETA: The hovering didn't work for me (I'm using Chrome on a Windows 10 laptop) but if I held down on the up/down button, it worked.
Holy cow, did anyone post about Marysol James having a book come out recently? It came out November 4th and I didn't think of it until today! Luckily, I was switching purses and came across the index card where I write down all the upcoming releases. Whew!
My library is great about buying books and ebooks. They have a "Recommend" section that you can use to recommend a book for purchase. I suggested "Someone To Wed" long before it came out. Then when they got the book, which I was pretty sure they would since they had the others in the series, it was automatically put in my account to check out. They don't always buy the books I recommend, but they often do, and the price is right!
