I was happy to find Christmas Blue at Flynn's by Angela Verdenius in my Kindle yesterday. I had forgotten that I pre-ordered it. It was a nice surprise. I wasn't sure if anyone else had posted about it. I've just started it but so far so good (as usual!).
Liam Devaliant, Lord Lockwood, was born into a charmed life. Charismatic, powerful, and wild, he had the world at his feet—and one woman as his aim. His wedding to Anna was meant to be his greatest triumph. Instead, in a single moment, a wicked conspiracy robbed him of his future and freedom.
...BUT WILL HIS LONG-LOST COUNTESS PAY THE PRICE?
Four years later, Liam has returned from death with plans for revenge. Standing in his way, though, is his long-absent bride. Once, he adored Anna's courage. Now it seems like a curse, for Anna refuses to fear or forget him. If she can't win back Liam's love, then she means at least to save his soul...no matter the cost.
I loved DOS and always wondered about Lockwood's story. I didn't like anything else by her though. I'm hoping I'll like this one.
Here is another I've been stalking since the moment I finished book 3 -- Collision Course by Marie Harte. I've written about this series and the prior series before so skip reading if you've read my raves before. I first read Harte when she was writing the McCauley Brothers books. Maybe there were 2-3 out by then and I waited and waited and waited for book 4, which I adored. I wondered what she'd do next, and she started writing about the guys in the body shop co-owned by the h in book 4 of the McCauley series. Love love love these books. She's written some other books that I wasn't crazy over but these two series absolutely fit every bill I have. The people seem real, they are flawed but basically good, there is a good cast of secondary characters, and they're all interwoven well. So far, so good, anyway, and I am sooooo looking forward to next Tuesday, when Collision Course comes out.
After I finish this one, I'll have to wait until May until book 3 of the Donnigans series comes out.
Amanda Bouchet’s Heart on Fire is out Jan 2. This is the 3rd book in The Kingmaker Chronicles. I loved books 1and 2 and have been waiting for this one.
This is the blurb on Amazon GODS. I'M AN IDIOT. Without Griffin—and apparently a few meddling Gods—to push me along, I'd still be telling fortunes at the circus, lying about my past, ignoring my future, and living as far away from my tyrant mother as humanly possible.
True understanding thuds into place. Hope isn't just an abstract concept; it's me. Flesh and blood me. Griffin knew it all along. Probably everyone did. I'm an idea in human form.
I have the power of the Gods at my fingertips. The only thing ever stopping me has been me.
ltr, I really enjoyed The McCauley Brothers series. I wanted more books! I also read the Best Revenge series which was ok. I am going to start the Body Shop Boys series soon because my library has them. I hope they are as good as the McCauley series.

I read Duke of Shadows so long ago and can't remember Lord Lockwood. I would go back and re-read DOS but while I liked the book the first time I read it, I don't think I want to read it again (too angsty for me). For someone who's more familiar with the DOS, was Lord Lockwood in the second half of the book....after Emma & Julian returned to London? Did he have something to do with Emma's...art, was it?

Yes, he did. I believe he bought one of her painting. He was also friends with Julian. Its been a while since I read it and can't remember all the particulars. I'll most likely reread DoS before reading Lockwood's story.

Ah..ok, thank you. Maybe it was Lord Lockwood's house where Julian and Emma met up again? I vaguely remember some drama at a house party or something. If I still have the book, I may try to re-read that part to refresh my memory. Again, thanks!
I just received an email from NetGalley. Emily March's upcoming February 27 release, The First Kiss of Spring, is available to read for 48 hours. I have this book on my pre-order wish list so I am jumping on it. I thought others might want to too. :-)
