I realized I'd not posted my list of Pre-orders for September yet. Then I looked at how many I've already got on order for 2023 releases! Had to laugh: I have 21 pre-orders currently & 11 of them are for 2023 release! Ah well, helping the economy along, right?

Kc - I'm with you the 9/6 release of JD Robb's newest!!! Seems like I've been waiting forever. Now we have to wait for May 2023 for the next.... With the heat that we're having, suppose to be between 108 -112 for the next few days, and the gross air quality (brown air) due to the almond farmers around here harvesting sitting in my house reading is right up my alley!

While I am reading your post the news media I stream on the internet just stated electric cars (about 1 million) cannot use electricity for certain time periods during the day during this heat wave.
Here comes the sun even though I love that rainy day feeling!

I know! Yesterday or the day before here in California they just voted that as of 2035 they will no longer be able to sell gas driven cars. If you want a new car it will have to be electric. Go figure.

I'm curious.
Natasha, to which state are you referring?
Banana Boat, why does almond harvesting cause "brown air"?
Go electric or go out of state to buy a car...which means the in-state car dealers will be ticked! Bet they're figuring that by 2035 all the little (and not so little) problems will all be gone...or it will be like us going to the metric system which we were supposed to do when I was still in high school!
BB, I think when you say May '23, you're thinking of the new Nora Roberts (Identity); Encore ID releases in early Feb '23 (and it won't come soon enough, but nice to have something to look forward to in February!)

romancereader, Before they harvest the almonds they stop irrigating for a few weeks so the ground is bone dry and the trees very stressed. They first land plane (smooth the ground to very flat and to pack it down) and get rid of all of the ground debris, then they shake the trees to drop the nuts and then they come in with sweeper machines to sweep the nuts into neat rows so that the pickup machines can easily pick them up to take to hullers. Due to the bone dry ground the sweepers have billows and billows of dirt and dust everywhere. Looks like a huge brown cloud coming at you. If you have to drive down a road where they're harvesting you turn on your lights and slow way down. After everything is done they pray there is enough water to irrigate the very thirsty trees. Usually they start harvest in mid to late August or early September and finish in the end of October. We live out in the country so this is just a way of life but my least favorite time of the year.

Oops, Yes Feb 2023. If I remember correctly doesn't she usually publish a "Nora Roberts" book every May?
