Unforgettable Secondary Characters

Who are the secondary characters you love or still think about who never got their own book? They may have played a supporting role throughout a book or series, or they may have had only a few but memorable appearances.
A couple I thought of recently are Nick MacKenzie from Linda Howards' Mackenzies series. I wish we could see the woman she grows into. Or if she even survives her own antics! Also, the housekeeper from The Admiral's Penniless Bride by Carla Kelly has always intrigued me. We know how she ends up by the end of the book, but I'd like to know how she got there.
