Kiss of Vengeance
A warning, these books are tagged as standalone books, meaning you could pick up a book and you wouldn't be lost but no. They need to be read in order.
The second book in the True Immortality series. This book is Rose and Fionn's story. This story is a bit more complicated (not by much) since Rose does not know of the paranormal world and is quite shocked to find out she's one of the supernatural beings. Fionn who is mentioned in the very first book of this series as a part of world building and is also considered a big part of the history of the history of the supernatural beings due to who he was back in the days.
Fionn wants Rose in order to exact his revenge for all the bad things done to him (I would have had more pity for him if actual scenes has played out for us) and he's angry and ready to do what needs to be done, in this case is kill Rose and open the portal to get to the person who wronged him. He is of course attracted to Rose, but does not act on it because she's a means to an end and he will not get attached, while Rose is basically trusting him because she has no other choice since there are witches and other powerful supernaturals who are after her to kill her.
Things of course don't go the way either character thinks/thought they should.
Again this is another slow-burn and it was less appealing to me since Fionn was trying to lure Rose into a trap that would have him killing her, and even after he's accepted that he wants her he still thinks about her being a means to an end, which did not sell the romance and deep love between them for me.
A solid 3 star for me again, I liked the over aesthetics of the world I'm imagining in head as I read.
