My June winner is the first book in an historical mystery series set in 1910 Singapore. Not a romance, but there are hints of one that may develop. Singapore Sapphire by A. N. Stuart
The first one was the conclusion of the WWII "Wings of Glory" trilogy, with a romance between a war widow who hides that she was an abused wife so her young son won't be shamed, and a pilot who is a minister in civilian life who struggles with whether a reluctance to kill is cowardice.
The second was an outstanding ARC of a novel set in a 19th century London ballet troupe with all sorts of intrigue and secrets. Loved them both!

You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.
linviolet Your pick for August sounds like a fun read, the other books in the series also look good, have added to my wish list.... if no price drop might pick this one up for my birthday as a treat....

I enjoyed it a lot. The series is fun, my favorite is still the first book, nothing like a H who is having conversations with his inner Alpha (werewolf). This third book Nico makes the book worth the read, there are some side characters (from the start of the series) that I cannot wait for their books in the series. I get the price, I bought it with credits I had accumulated from Amazon, or else I don't think I would have purchased it and would have waited until my library got it. I hope you treat yourself if there's no price drop! For birthdays it is well deserved.
I am now actually contemplating the audiobooks as the narrators are good, I have a few spare credits... I might start with the first one in the series.

I will say go for it. I truly enjoy them, and they made me laugh which is also a plus.
This is me trying to somewhat be a bad influence, lol!

Yep, I'm in need of a good laugh. I had a library book to start today but it's a serious read and I am so not in the mood for something heavy so returned it for now. You have convinced me: book 1 has been purchased

My August pick is A View Most Glorious by Regina Jennings. Fun story about a woman determined to climb Mt. Ranier to bring publicity to the Women's Suffrage cause and the wilderness guide hired to help her.

Another easy month to pick. I loved the ARC I read of Laura Grant's A Heart Adrift. A second chance romance set in Colonial Virginia. It had real depth, and reminded me a little of "Persuasion". Wonderful book.
