I have one that's green that isn't bad but it's sweet and not umm not delicious like that drink Sweet-tart makes. It was the only one I did drink while pregnant, it had spinach, bananas, mangos, apples and pineapples and a spoonful of honey. Not bad, I can't say it was the best either but I needed all the nutrients and as long it didn't smell green I was okay. (if you're looking at that and thinking I'm nuts like my hubby yes green has a smell, grass!)
My younger brother was visiting and I mentioned this to him and he was like, big sis, that was over 30 years ago it's history. Making emphasis on the was... how dare he!
Star Wars not my thing I am a Star Trek person, love the crazy over the top stories and how certain captains just pull have a certain pool with certain generations. Spock for the win, lol!
In support of pride month expanded my reading horizons and read You and Me by Tal Bauer. The story sounded intriguing when I checked it out a while back, book has a lot of high reviews. It was well written and an emotional read. I especially enjoyed watching the broken relationship between father and son slowly get repaired. The relationship between Luke and Landon also developed along nicely, it was sweet following their friendship which gradually developed into more. While there are some explicit sex scenes there were not many. There was a lot of talk about American Football so I did learn a lot about the game!. A 4/5 for me.
bluebear, Thanks for the recommendation of The Scoundrel's Daughter by Anne Gracie. I hadn't read Anne Gracie before and I thought it was really good. I saw the review of it on AAR when it came out and it didn't sound like something I would like but it ended up working for me, so thank you:) My library has some other books by her and I'm going to check them out too.
kay1 Glad you liked it, like you I am chasing up a few of her other books. The only other I have read is The Perfect Stranger in 2012. It's in my favourites collection so I must have like it, it sounds very interesting and as I don't remember reading it time for a reread...
I finished The Bloomsbury Girls by Natalie Jenner, a historical fiction that I really enjoyed. There are three main ladies that work at the iconic Bloomsbury Book Store, each with an interesting story. The ladies meet some famous people, mostly literary types, like Daphne Du Mourier, Samuel Beckett, and Ellen Doubleday. This takes place about 5 years after WWII when women, who were recently called on to take men's jobs, were being relegated to the sidelines once the men returned from the war. I liked it a lot.
Bluebear, I read The Spring Bride, the first book in the Chance Sisters series and liked it, maybe not as much as Scoundrel’s daughter but it was still good. I see she has a new book coming out, The Rakes Daughter, 7/26.

kay1 & bluebear, if it's any help, Anne Gracie is an auto-buy for me. But yeah, I have quite a few of those...don't I. (at least my budget says I do!)
I just read Accidental tryst by Natasha Boyd and thought it was good. I had never heard of the author before but saw this on Goodreads. I would have liked a longer ending but I see his cousin’s story is next so maybe there’s more there.
I was craving a mail order bride read and decided on Texas Bride by Joan Johnston, has been a while since I last read an American historical. Liking it so far, nice strong heroine, plenty of drama so hopefully it wont get too angsty.
Also finished The Betel Nut Tree Mystery (Crown Colony Book 2) by Ovidia Yu and did not enjoy this as much as book 1. Both Su Lin and her friend Shanti annoyed me, would have preferred to see Inspector Froy showing more interest in developing Su Lins skills but he seemed to be missing most of the time. It was also pretty obvious to me who the murderer was early on, why he had done it and why Nicole was so erratic. Will probably try bk 3 but if it's similar then I wont continue with the series as they are pricy for me. A 3/5.

I'm reading Julie Anne Long's next book in her The Palace of Rogues series, You Were Made to be Mine, which I'm enjoying as much as the other books. All my favorite characters appear in this story and I'm guessing they will have a hand in the HEA for Hawkes and Aurelie.

I'm reading one of Jann Rowland's P & P variations - Out of Obscurity by Jann Rowland . It turns out I've read it before but its been so long I'd forgotten most of it. Elizabeth turns out to be the daughter of the Earl of Matlock or Darcy's 1st cousin, who was kidnapped at the age of 2. She was found and raised by the Bennett's. Long story short at the age of 20 she's discovered and returned to her family. There is an ick factor for me.... She's Darcy's cousin and while I know it was common back then a relationship between cousins is a bit icky. All in all I've enjoyed they story quite a bit, I just choose to forget they're cousins. Would I do another reread in the future? Yes, the story is very well done (besides the ick factor). I've read several other books by this author and have enjoyed them all, some more than others.

I am reading Play It Safe by Kristen Ashley a re-read for me, I found it (I also found the book hubby hid of hers that I cannot ever read again, *MYSTERY MAN* ) and decided to go on and remember why I liked her books. This one isn't a favorite (3 stars overall rating) but I did have a note saying, *worth the read for her guy friend and boss*.
I also bought the latest Samantha Young book on e-book Be With Me (The Adair Family Series Book #4), I enjoy this series it's sort of predictable Older Man, Younger Woman, forbidden because of (she's my bodyguards daughter, or she's my boss's younger sister, or she's my SIL's baby sister) but they are alluring to me. Something in them pulls me in and I am rooting for them to be together.
I just finished two books, that, along with Julie Anne Long's "You Were Made to be Mine," might all be my choice for best book of the month. Candance Camp's An Affair at Stonecliffe is a great "enemies to lovers" story. I really empathized with the heroine who was trying to protect her young son and enjoyed the action at the beginning where we don't know what to make of the hero. It was an interesting mystery also. I also finished Emily Windsor's second book in her Governess series, A Governess Should Never Deny a Duke. It's a very romantic story IMO and takes place during a house party full of young ladies trying to win our hero duke's affection. Our heroine is the governess and tries to stay inconspicuous. I need to reread book one, A Governess Should Never Tempt a Prizefighter, which I think I liked just a little bit more than book 2. And I can loan book 1 if anyone wants to check it out.
bonnieg After really enjoying bk 1 I am looking forward to reading bk 2 in the governess series, so glad you liked it.
Earlier in the week finished The American Spinster by Audrey Harrison after reading the review by mlover. A quick sweet read about a young couple that agree on a marriage of convenience. He as he needs a helpmate, wants to buy his own farm, she to support herself and help parents after father makes a poor investment decision. A 3.5/5.
Also read Just for Kicks by Tracy Solheim another marriage of convenience plot but this time a sport contemporary. Some parts of this were really good, both very nice characters. What annoyed me was how the author dealt with Declans reason for not wanting to ever marry and why he avoided Scotland and his family for 10 years. After about the 10th time reading his thoughts on how unworthy he was because of what happened to Niall and getting no details I became frustrated. As a result only a 3.5.
