I read book 1 of a new series, The Rag-to-Riches Governess, which just going by the title, you'd say you've read it or something like it before. It's a very nice romance, however, with kids, a dog, best friends, new friends and a parrot. It also has interesting problems to overcome before the HEA. Also, Janice Preston is an author I've read before and liked a lot. It is almost a clean story except for a brief intimate scene at the end. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
I have been trying to read for a third time Kristen Ashley's Mystery Man now this is the book that I hate from all of her books. I started the book on Friday night (late night) but by Sunday I was still in chapter three and struggling to suspend my disbelief and major dislike for the heroine. She's a killers wet dream.
I cannot in good faith continue to read it. Too many good books out there (and KA has some gems I re-read) for me to just focus on something that just isn't to my liking. I tried though, but I couldn't like it.
I'm trying an oldie that was a favorite of mines Freshman year of College. I discovered this series, there were like 4 books out in the series #2 and #3 are my favorites, I also love Kason but the story itself was not my favorite. #1 in the series is meh, but makes you want to find out more of the team members Curveball I love Psycho the baseball playing nudist antisocial historical home owner. Strike Zone is the one I'm going to read next. It has the best second couple story, hot jock and shy heroine. There's a lot of re-reads happening for me. Even though I have a whole lot of new books just waiting to be opened both physically and electronically.

I'm continuing my long-running trend of mostly rereads, as well. Right now, I'm on Dream Man by Linda Howard, and will probably read her book Diamond Bay next. While I'm on this author, I can't pass up yet another reread of Mackenzie's Mountain. I love Wolf Mackenzie.
I have just about finished Dear Clara by Shelley E Powell a sweet regency romance, clean read so far. Both the H and h are nice characters and you want them to have their happy ending, they encounter some difficulties before they get together but it wasn't too angsty. Will need to pick a more gritty read next for a change of pace.
I finished new-to-me GL Robinson's The Lord and The Red-Headed Hornet and loved it. It's a charming Regency Romance, with a take-charge heroine who becomes the secretary to our hero who is happy to let her have her way, for the most part. It has an interesting plot that moves along nicely. It's a KU, but after reading the story, I decided to buy it to have my own copy.
I opened Dorothy Garlock's Yesteryear (Wabash River Series #4) this morning & am enjoying it once again. Always laugh that it's part of the Wabash River Series (Indiana) when it takes place in Arkansas & heading across the southern plains to New Mexico. But the H is the son of two of the protagonists in Wabash, so it makes sense...I suppose! I don't know if I'll continue with Garlock's books & maybe head for McKenzie's Mountain since someone has gotten me interested there...
All baseball heroes and their heroines, most are multiple couples in each book. Two or three stories happening around the same time, each hero getting their HEA with their heroines.
Last night I started and didn't stop reading until I finished, You Can Have Manhattan by P. Dangelico I had set it aside for a few and then I saw it and decided to read it. It reminds me a bit of SEP's Kiss an Angel. Some of the same elements in the plot. Marriage contract (they have a set amount of yeears they are supposed to stay married), hero deceives heroine about where he lives, heroine is a bit naïve even though she's pretty tough. Hero does a few things that has him begging for her forgiveness and trekking across the world to see her. A five star read for me.

linviolet I read the Richmond series a few years ago, dont know remember the storylines but I notice they are all in my "Most Favorite" collections so I did enjoy them. Might be time to revisit. P Dangelico is always good value and this was a good book but I am behind on some of her newer stuff as I keep getting sidetracked with everything I else I want to read. Too many choices....
Enjoyed reading Love Code: An AI + Alien romance (Galactic Love Book 2). The romance between and alien and the AI was well handled, a more original twist on the alien romance genre. While I preferred the first book a bit more this was still an excellent read. Looking forward to book 3 and will need to starting reading some other books by Ann Aguirre. A 4.5 for me.

bluebear I enjoyed the re-reading, I started with the second book and then read the rest in order (as much as you can read them in order after starting from #2, lol). I fell in love with the series during that freshman year of college when I found the first two books in our campus library. I also agree with you with the Ann Aguirre Galactic Love book series, number 2 was not as good as number 1 but still a decent read. The world just kept me wanting to read more and how different these species of aliens were than the ones in the first book. Its a solid 4 star read for me.
