If you have watched and liked or loved the move You Got mail then this book is for you. To Sir, With Love by Lauren Layne I got this book on a whim, I didn't know what to expect other than I thought there was going to be some drinking in the book (because of the cover) as well as maybe dirty texting (again because of the cover). But that wasn't the case, and it wasn't a bad thing it was a good thing.
Our main characters Gracie and Sebastian are sort of rivals in real life because of business issues and online they are friends through this dating app, but neither one knows that they are talking to each other through the app, each has a handle name they go by, Gracie is Lady and Sebastian is Sir. Though they aren't dating and Sebastian has a girlfriend (which as Sir, he tells Lady he has a girlfriend) and Gracie becomes curious as to why he's on the dating app (which does not allow the users to post photos and is more of getting to know the person before you meet in person). Sir tells Lady a friend signed him up as a joke, and they sort of just hit it off and continue to talk to each other.
I will say that Seb having a girlfriend for a short bit was a bit of a turn off but I forgive him because as it turned out it was more of a convenience thing for the two of them (Seb and his ex) and more of a we are comfortable with each other so lets stick it out until we can't anymore. Trust me (as much as you're willing to) and pick up the book it's way better than I am making it sound on this review.
The side characters are fun, supportive and honestly Gracie has a good support team on her side, Sebastian (as much as he's her 'nemesis') is also supportive of her. This is also a pg13 book for some cursing, mentions of sex but no sexy scenes are ever in the book other than the kiss shared by the two main characters near the end this here is a clean one.
