Contemporary, takes place in the Olympic Mountains of northwest Washington

Hello, I am on a quest for the title of a contemporary romance that takes place in the Olympic mountains of northwest Washington. The story also takes place in, around and or near the city of Port Angeles. Maybe the city has a different name in the book, but since I am also from Washington, this is the feeling I get.
When I go into the memory of my mind there is evergreen trees and a girl / young woman, 18 yrs old? Emotionally she is Lost. She is hiding in an abandoned or empty house. The only other thing I remember about the story is there is a young man who looks like a recruitment poster for the Navy or military.
I think this maybe a Susan Wiggs novel. I think I may remember reading in the back that the author herself is a local writer and lives in the Puget Sound area of Washington. I have been reading synopsis of her books and so far nothing clicks.
