Been a while! Not reading anything worth posting about lately. I did run across this one which annoyed me enough to bring me out of my cave for a bit.

This book is not terrible for the most part. I have read most of the original generations so I had some idea what to expect along the lines of passive heroine, jerk overly jealous H, etc. which were all kind of tired.
First the age gap. I can't remember just how big it is but I kind of recall the H being 24-26 maybe? and the h being 18-19 or something like that. Which doesn't seem that bad until you realize that mentally and maturity wise they are both 12. H's constant internal assumptions about the h being a sleazy, lying, cheating whore based on nothing were annoying while he totally glosses over the part where he took another woman home and only didn't "finish" because he was too drunk to stay awake (not even getting into how far they actually did get before he dozed off) and does his best to never mention the incident to the h at all. I was shocked she didn't freak out over that situation given her general lack of maturity so that was a bit of a surprise. Although he never did explain just how far they got. Anyway...
There was one point in the book where it took everything I had not to dnf and angry delete it. The h, who is an identical twin and her sister have some sort of blogging thing they do with videos, etc. They decide to "prank" the H into thinking the h is cheating and film his reaction with the h extremely aware of just how jealous the H has been up to this point. It would have served her right if he had thrown her out and called the other woman back. This was not a short immediate reaction type of thing, she drew it out as long as possible and only stopped when he told her to get out of his house. How is embarrassing anyone like this funny?! I am too old for these kinds of stupid antics. Not only did the h and her sister think this whole thing was knee slapping funny, they couldn't wait to post it and see how many likes they would get. And even after seeing how upset he got, they still found it hilarious and continued to do stupid "pranks" like that. To get views on their channel. This is not funny. And she would have deserved being dropped like a hot potato.
Again, I may be just too old to find things like this entertaining but deliberately hurting someone you are supposed to be in love to entertain others is just not funny and is totally disrespectful. This one is getting 1.5 out of 5.
