I haven’t been having much luck lately with new reads so I thought this thread might produce some good options. I’m thinking that anyone who wants to participate can just post links. It’ll hopefully encourage more posts if we don’t have to think about commenting or summarizing why we liked something and really…we don’t need to justify why something works. I’m aiming to get more personal ranking here. For me, a top read is not necessarily a 5 star book. It’s the book that is particularly memorable for whatever reason, the comfort reread, pings the emotions, that sort of book. Objectively I recognize that most of the books that I’ll post are not 5 star, but subjectively these are my cuppa.
These are in no special order and I haven’t done a deep dive into any of my lists, I’m just posting as they come to me. I’ve mentioned a lot of these in various threads but hopefully not all and at least it’ll be a consolidated list.
EDIT I’m still listing out-of-print books. You never know what’s lingering at the bottom of the unread pile. Some of this are prob on the cusp, but I don’t want to over think things.
Thanks, I am very picky on what I will read when it comes to m/m reads and it's not a genre I read often. I will enjoy going through your list in more detail. I currently have the Magpie Lord as a possible audiobook sitting in my cart so your list has given me some confidence to go ahead with it.
I also enjoyed Psy Cops by Jordan Castillo Price.
Another series I enjoyed was Eli Easton How to Howl at the Moon series. Not 5 star listens but cute and fun and I love to relisten to them.
