Julia Quinn and Julie Garwood write what I call safe historicals. 🎃
BB----IIRC ( my mind is sometimes on vacay) a Julie Garwood medieval (?) depicted the hero pulling the heroine's hair b/c she just did something unsafe.
mlover, I don't remember that. I'll have to do a quick scan of my old pb Garwood's and see if I can find it. 🎃
BB---- I keep a romance notebook w/ a few of my comments on each book ( b/c of my memory). Will check this. It was a re-read. I've always liked Garwood HRs.

mlover - Pre Kindle I use to haunt our local used book store so I'd keep a huge list of authors that I liked in my purse. I don't keep the list with me anymore but just ran across it and plan to look some of them up to see who I've forgotten. I like your idea of a notebook with comments. So much easier. 🎃

BB--- I mentioned on Amazon, probably to the point of boring others, I ID'd books by the cover, then they changed the cover. They must have x number of years contract for a particular book cover? One year I nearly wiped out a UBS of Edith Layton books. Because she passed away the covers were not an issue. They may be now?

Nowadays you can take a notebook with you in your phone. I keep all my daily reminders in there now. My handwriting is horrible.

I consider Courtney Milan to be a 'safe' author...at least the books I've read have been. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong. I really liked Unlocked, which I think has been free in the past but is 2.99 now.
I also liked Unlocked. Courtney Milan's historical romance novella The Governess Affair is currently free to Kindle readers; it's an excellent read.
