ust finished Lydia Hope's Planet Zero and enjoyed it quite a lot. Slow burn, scarred and very alien hero and cultural differences.
It's interesting you mentioned this book as I saw it for the first time on an email probably from Amazon. It's not my usual genre, I've read a few a couple of years ago, but did sound interesting so I stuck it on my wish list to think about it. Now I'll think harder. Did you really like it?

Yes, but this is not a typical fluffy alien romance. The human heroine is stranded in a brutal place with no hope of ever getting back and trying to survive amongst beings that are very different from us inside and out. I liked the author's first book, Homebound, too but that one was also set in a very dark world. Since I am mostly sticking to light and fluffy romances these days to avoid anxiety it probably says something that I read this in one sitting despite it's stressful setting.

Thanks! I can identify with you on sticking with light and fluffy romances now days, I'm doing the same thing and probably why I'm doing so much rereading. This book sounds very interesting.

Just bought Planet Zero, and I loved another book from this author. Homebound by Lydia Hope. It's scifi fantasy, and it's a wonderful read.
Lilith's Fall (Shadows in Sanctuary Book 1) by Susan Trombley, is free was $2.99; this was only previously free if you managed to pick it up just after it debuted, but it has been on sale before for $0.99.

A couple interesting possible new authors for our thread.
Missing Link: An Alien Romance (The Infinium Wars Book 1) by Anthar Wolfen (there is a noted typo issue with this one but sample is interesting).
Bred in Captivity by Kathleen Brody (despite the cover and title that almost made me not look until I reminded myself of Amanda Milo's initial first book release, so far this one is interesting-only a couple chapters in).
