lazyandiknowit - Thanks for the spoilers! I love when a H gets irate over others hitting on the h, lol.
Ash - You're so welcome. So Ash, was it you who originally recommended Princess SOS? I enjoyed that book alot. It wasn't perfect and it was short but it was good. Re - the rape in Craving Maul, was there a good amount of angst? How did the H treat the h?
I think it might have been Readerland that rec'ed it, unsure. Regarding the rape, it never said she was and she didn't know what was done to her when she was on the drug....
*********SPOILER MAYBE***********
That's one part that didn't really make sense to me, I think they wanted her to build a tolerance for the drug, it just didn't seem like she did and she just became hooked on it. Don't worry the H saves her from it. In one part she said she could feel aliens touching her all over, everywhere, she was being sold it was part of her mission, not much angst IMO. The H was great, really liked him, she was his other half very important to their race to find the one.
Ash - Thank you for the info. I enjoyed this author and I'm glad you put this book on my radar. Hopefully, I'll be reading again soon. Oh the withdrawls.....
This was mentioned either in the J/P FB Group or on the thread. I can't remember which one. I haven't read it but it was posted on the Free Today thread - Blood Submission (Deathless Night Series Book 5). I noticed this was in the book synopsis - " MINE." Free + H saying "MINE." = I'm grabbing it.
I just read, Cry of the Pride (Awakening Pride) it fits this thread, price drop $1.60. I have not kept up with this series, I've only read a couple of the books but I was still able to enjoy. It's not really a standalone IMO, you need to read at least one of the books to understand IMO. Warning instant connection and lots of sex, no cheating or o/p drama.

I just read a contemporary book that the Hero fits the jealous, possessive category big time. It is called "Arrogant Bastard" by Zara Cox. I think I will review it on a separate thread.

I've read Obsession but it's been a while so I've forgotten a lot I'm sure. I do remember that the H is one of those dark, OTT psycho-stalkers that crosses the line into criminal behavior towards the h due to his obsession of the h. Also, the h calls the H "daddy" during sex. (Daddy and sex together doesn't work for me but others might like it.)

Thank you for the spoilers, the daddy thing is not really my thing either. Hopefully there is not to many scenes with it so I can just skim, I think I'll put it at the end of my to read list for now.
I also have to say it's so great to see so many familiar people on these site. All of you give the best rec's and info so I know if a book is safe for me, so thank's to everyone you guys are the best.
Ash - I feel the same. If I had to guess, I would say 99% of the things I read come from recs and the great thing about that is that so many of those recs I never would've chosen to read on my own. Boy would I have missed out!

I'm going to be starting Notice soon. Hopefully, tomorrow. I'm excited as I've heard so much about it. (If you're interested in this book look at the What a Deal thread Best of 2017 for the link to the collection that includes this book for $.99
I'm about 85% into Thieving Hearts by Nikita Slater. This one has taken me a bit longer to read due to distractions from this forum, lol. (Amazon caught me off guard.) I'm not sure how I feel about it tbh. I'm really not a fan of pain at all nor a H that dominates the h to such an extent that he seems abusive. Yet, in the context of this book where the h likes pain and used to cut herself, it's different but I'm still uncomfortable with it.
To those who have read it - what are your thoughts?

I finished it a few days ago, I am like you, I have enjoyed her other books more since those books didn't feel like h was getting abuse. This one was a little harder to read,I did feel the love between the couple and that help me continue reading.
Having the h tied to a hook, naked, in a basement room used to torture and kill people, and BEATEN (not spanked) with a belt isn't abuse. Yet the h loved it which made zero sense to me but then she likes pain and I, frankly abhor pain. I was uncomfortable with everything about that scene and yet I, too, believed in their love. It's quite the quandry.
