mlover: Sarah Eden does contemporary, too, but she excels at Regencies. They intimacy stops with kissing, but she describes the emotions so well that you just KNOW the rest will continue the passion. She also writes excellent novellas. Some favorite novels: Drops of Gold All That Glitters As You Are Friends and Foes
At the moment I'm reading Duke's Prefer Blondes by Loretta Chase which if I remember was discussed on the old site ( I was a lurker) and I'm pretty sure OLT gave it 5 stars. I'm enjoying it very much 😊
Hi Tangerine-----
I started the thread "Need a Good Historical Romance" on Amazon. I copied it on flash drive, b/c there were so many good book recs & I really felt the mostly women posters became like a little family. There was much humor and support. There was little controversy except politics and I asked posters to please refrain from this topic. Signed former MovieLover, now mlover.
Hi mlover, I was a lurker on your thread, I got some great recs from you all 😊.. shame OLT and Danker haven't migrated here !
Banana Boat, I loved those books .. book 2 was my favourite. I emailed Olivia Parker to ask if she planned on releasing any more books, but sadly no reply.
OLT is on Goodreads, along with HappyBookWorm (she added 2020 to her moniker), Roberta 2 (was Georgette Austen), Natasha and many more. I left a message for Danker on her last Amazon book review to please join us here and on GR. RTR & KG are on the new FB romance forum. RTR does post here occasionally & we exchanged messages here. RTR has wit and wisdom, both are needed in these scary & sad times of random killings and terrorist attacks, and people displaced b/c of hurricanes & other natural disasters.
There are many good people on this forum, I was relieved to recognize so many monikers. I'm grateful Samantha started this forum. And I've posted with people from all over the US, Canada, Switzerland & even Iceland. Hopefully I'll make new friends here.
I especially miss Pauline, DoraLady, Danker, Suzmay, & Roses. Sorry if this is repeat info for some folks. ML.
ml, I agree with you, I miss a lot of the "old" crew but we have a wonderful group here. Even though some have gone to FB & GR I'd like them to chime in here just for their conversation and suggestions.
tangerine, Thats too bad. I'd like to know, too. I doubt that after all this time she'd start up again. Did she pass away?
Banana Boat,
Olivia Parker states on her website that although she hasn't had anything new come out recently, she is still writing and hopes to have something come out soon.. I believe she is writing Tristian's book.. the brother of the H from At the Bride Hunt Ball.. Only problem is that that information has been up for ages.

BB----The posters are respectful here and want to share their love of romance books. Ammy "flame wars" were tiresome and were about who was "top dog?" Who cares? No one should tell you what to think, feel or like.
This forum is welcoming and respectful of other POVs. No one here has to hide that she/ he hated a book. ML.
ml, Yes, I agree 100%. I did hear from Roses this AM (!) and begged her to "come on down". I miss her witty conversation. Hopefully she'll make it so. She stated she's on FB but I'm not at all a FB or GR person. Crossing my fingers!!!
