Abigail Raines - Mason's Mate (The Quinton Shifters #3)
It’s a new world for me. That gorgeous, strong, yet gentle Mason Tremblay is the best part of it. How do I not fall in love with him?
When I saved one of the Tremblay brothers, Mason Tremblay became indebted to me. But he has to find me first and rescue me from my brother's ruthless pack who kidnapped me.
My brother is as ruthless as my old pack was. He’s taken me hostage, determined to start a new pack with me whether I like it or not.
He’s looking for forgiveness. She’s looking for a fighting chance.
Graham Long left his career—and his real name—behind to make a fresh start for himself at Shifting Sands. He’s done with dueling, and wants nothing more than to quietly raise his strawberries and tend the lawns at the tropical shifters-only resort.
A fight is the last thing he wants when his lion insists that his friend’s bear shifter bridesmaid is his destined mate.
But fiercely independent Alice Anders has a life of her own already. She’s not going to turn her back on the people who need her and the job she loves just to run away to a tropical island paradise with a gorgeous gardener that makes her knees weak with one blue-eyed glance. She’s not at the resort to find her own true love… and she’s not there only as a bridesmaid, either. She’s been given a fighting chance to save her family: all she has to do is uncover the shift form of the mysterious resort owner, Scarlet, for an equally mysterious man for whom money is no object.
Between the secrets they’re keeping and the answers they’re searching for, it’s a hard road to honesty, and harder road still to a happy ever after.
Can Graham keep ahead of the enemies from his past? Will Alice figure out who he really is… and if she does, will she ever be able to forgive him for the things he’s done and the secrets he’s keeping from her?

When paranormal romance author Juliette Parson’s latest manuscript is billed by her editor as being too “unrealistic,” it’s suggested she contact a shifter group for advice on her storyline. Writing about shifter romances is one thing, but meeting with a person who can change into an animal at will isn’t something Juliette ever thought she’d do. But if she wants her book to be believable, she needs to find someone to talk to about shifters.
The last thing alpha bear Cruz Miller wants to do with his free time is chat up a human writing a smutty story about shifters. But when his brother points out that their clan could angle the interview for some much-needed promotion for their shifter bar, he decides to give the author a chance to tell him how much she doesn’t know about shifters.
What he doesn’t expect is to take one look at the curvy redhead and explode into his shift. But he’s in the fur and she’s petrified, so what’s an alpha to do? Bide his time until he can shift back into his human form, explain she’s his mate, and that he’s ready to claim her good and hard, again and again. He just never counted on the feisty female having her own ideas about her future, and the fact that they don’t seem to include staying with him.
An alpha won’t give up without a fight, and Cruz is no different. He’ll show Juliette that he’s the right male for her – shifter or not – and that he can be as romantic as the males she writes about.
Charlene Hartnady - Savage Dragon (Earth Dragons #2)
A dragon shifter series set in the same world as The Bride Hunt books
Depressed about where her life is taking her, wolf shifter Demi decides to go for a long run in the forest. Stretching her legs helps clear her mind. It helps unravel the stress building inside her. One terrible moment in time changed everything. She can’t come to terms with what’s expected of her. Her whole life is suddenly leading to one moment. One destiny that was never meant to be hers. One she doesn’t want. One she can’t escape.
Lost in her own thoughts, she realizes too late that a vicious beast has been hunting her. A shifter of a different kind. This one is massive and scaly with wings as wide as the bridge over Vale Creek. His mouth is filled with long, sharp teeth. He has murder in his eyes, which are focused on her. Demi has always been led to believe that dragons are majestic creatures. Strong yet compassionate. Not this one! This dragon is savage. A beast so feral he’s having trouble shifting back to his human form.
It’s her one opportunity for escape. Even though there is little chance of survival, Demi is going to fight him with everything she has. A wolf shifter is, after all, no match for a powerful beast such as this. Little does she know, he has no intention of killing her. In fact, the opposite is true. If she knew what he was thinking, she’d run faster, fight harder.

This is not my favorite genre but these books are done by a favorite author. In all honesty I have read the first two books, there is some romance, but not the third as of yet. I've pretty much decided this author can write any genre well and in such a way that I'll come back for more.
NYPD homicide detective Trina Baskin is having nightmares. Vivid ones. Full of blood, and snow, dead wolves…and a young man with pale hair who howls like an animal. She chalks them up to stress and an overactive imagination, too many Old Country stories from her Russian father who, when he’s had too much vodka, starts to rave about dark forces and things that look like men…but aren’t.
But then a case hits her desk that can’t be explained. A young man found outside a club with a nasty bite mark on his neck – and not a drop of blood left in his body. With no leads, no theories that bear exploring, too little sleep, and a partner who seems to be willfully throwing his career down the toilet, the last thing Trina needs is a full-on out of body experience…in which her family’s past is revealed to her, and everything starts making a whole lot of terrifying sense.
In 1942, Trina’s great-grandfather, Nikita, is a captain of the Cheka, the Soviet political police – or so it seems. He and his men are sent to Siberia to retrieve a “volunteer,” the boy who’s going to win the war against the Nazis – and potentially unleash hell on earth.
The world’s immortal population has been living quietly, secretly, hiding from the wars of men, hoping the past can stay buried. But what happens on the Eastern Front in the winter of 1942 will change everything.
In 2017, Trina is about to come face-to-face with her own past in a way she never thought possible. It turns out monsters are real – and they might be the only hope for survival.

In New York City, a string of increasingly-grisly murders leads Detective Trina Baskin, and her newly-immortal partner, Lanny, to a frightening facility with designs on studying all the immortals they can get their hands on. When one of their own is abducted, they’ll have to rely on dangerous new allies, plunged into a world they can barely believe exists…much less survive.
In a tiny town in Wyoming, a girl on the run and her self-appointed protector can’t afford to sit still for too long, and they definitely can’t accept the help of kind strangers. Ruby Russell has the kind of talent that turns heads, and draws powerful enemies. Her gifts are not her own, and the people who made her want her back.
In the second subbasement of a manor house outside Roanoke, a centuries-old Wallachian prince goes walking in his dreams. Guardian angel? Or beautiful liar? The people he visits will soon learn, because like it or not, they’re being drawn to his prison.
All roads lead to Virginia in the second novel of Lauren Gilley’s Sons of Rome series. Dark paranormal fantasy brimming with richly-drawn characters, and steeped in history, Red Rooster continues the adventure that began in book one, White Wolf.
In 1931, a golden-haired man in fine clothes appeared to a Siberian boy. An apparition in the snow.
In 2018, he guided a pack of misfits to his prison. A man made of sharp smiles, and smoke, who they can hear, but can never touch. He calls himself a prince, but how much does anyone really know about Prince Valerian of Wallachia? Is he friend, or foe? Is he real at all?
Val has spent the past 550 years as a prisoner, venturing where and when he can, dream-walking, using his powers of astral projection to escape the confines of his cell. His jailers call him “brother-killer,” and “traitor” – old rumors of the immortal realm carried forth by the sinister Ingraham Institute, a secret place hidden deep in the forest, bent on using the blood and powers of immortals to fight a gathering threat too terrible to reveal to the mortal world at large.
Now, Val’s brother, the infamous Vlad Dracula, is awake, hellbent on stopping the boys’ wicked uncle, Romulus, once and for all. But first, the boys will have to come to terms with one another – and perhaps finally come to understand the tragedies that played out almost six centuries ago.
In Book Three of the Sons of Rome Series, dream-walk to 15th century Romania, to a Wallachia besieged by the Ottoman Empire, and two immortal brothers fighting for their lives. Inspired by the true story of Vlad Dracula, and his family, Dragon Slayer travels from the palace at Tîrgovişte, to the Ottoman court, to the siege of Byzantium. A tale of brothers, and betrayal; of captivity, and revenge.
The immortals of the world are gathering, and Vlad and Val, the original sons of Rome, stand poised to lead the charge against a timeless evil. If only they can keep from killing one another…
**This story is not a standalone, and should be read after books one and two, White Wolf, and Red Rooster. Book four, Golden Eagle, expected fall of 2019.**

I found myself in the mood for a light shifter romance, so I scrolled through this board and this post snagged my attention. This book turned out to be just what I needed: likable MC's, cute banter and a sweet romance. It's short but still manages to have a plot. Never read this author before but this seems to be a spin-off from another series and I'll be checking that one out.
