I'm looking for heroe's with physical issues. Or disabled, as you prefer to call it.
Books with heroes who are blind (Hero in This Is All I Ask by Lynn Kurland), mute (like the hero in Mia Sheridan's Archer's Voice), or missing some limb (like the hero in Emma Chase's Appealed) or he can simply have a speech defect (like the hero in Nina G Jone's Take Me With You, he stuttered.)
They can be birth defects or caused by an accident.
Now, here's the list of the books I've read with this theme.
A Lover's Lament by K.L. Grayson. (H loses his leg). Menace by J.M. Darhower (H is blind in one eye and it causes him great pain). It Ain't Me, Babe by Tillie Cole. (H has speech impairment, he stutters).
Thank you so much!

Rush by Emma Chase - blind The Vixen and the Vet - war injuries Dear Agony by Georgia Cates - illness The Lost and Found series by JM Madden - various war injuries Fighting Silence by Aly Martinez - going deaf His Road Home by Anna Richland - war injuries Riding the Storm by Julie Miller - hero has a bad leg from an old injury, but he works as EMT so it's not a catastrophic injury. Circumstances in the book do cause it to be debilitating, though.
Girls, thank you so much for your recommendations!
WICKED PERSUIT by Isabella Bradford. HR. Hero is a titled gent who is wooing a selfish (unknown to him) beauty. He nearly loses his leg after a horse accident. The other less attractive sister helps him heal.

Yours Until Dawn by Teresa Medeiros. HR. H is blind.
Simply Love by Mary Balogh. Historical romance. A land steward is a reclusive military veteran when not conducting business. IIRC he lost an arm and an eye.
bookwyrm could you please spoil me a little about Fireflight?
Well, It's been a while since I read it but in this version of Victorian England there are paranormals everywhere and there are secret organisations of both good and bad paranormals. The hero, Archer always wears a mask and there is a lot of gossip in town about what sort of disfigurement he has (I won't spoil it except to say that it is not a natural disease or trauma). There is a little Phantom of the Opera vibe to the book. Archer kind of forces Miranda to marry him (mostly to get her away from her shitty dad). But he treats her well and he slowly falls in love with him even though she is worried about what she is hiding. If you like fantasy/urban fantasy/paranormal you will probably like this book. I read the entire series and loved most of them.
