Flowers from the Storm by Laura Kinsale is one of my very favorite books. I reread it about every six or seven months. I get irritated with the heroine but we do get to witness her change. We also get to see the Hero change.
Thanks, sometimes the heroine needs to 'step-up' or become more serious when her beloved goes through a huge challenge.ML.
I read Grayson by Lisa Eugene and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Truth - I read it because I liked the cover The story is both a May-December romance and the Hero has a mild case of schizophrenia. True schizophrenia. Although the heroine made some choices I don't know that I would have, she wasn't TSTL and I liked being in her shoes for the story. Read it first on KU and liked it enough to buy it. (NOTE - edited to say that I can't seem to figure out how to link properly, LOL, but if you click the link it takes you to the book on Amazon.)

YAY!!!!! The Duke of Jerveaux is one of my top five Heroes.
Found Wendy Sparrow's website with her "Perfectly Flawed Book List." She lists mental and physical challenges heroes and heroines have, by genre CR, HR, etc.

Vaz Laurence Dahners ;Vaz” is a near-future science-fiction novel about Vaz Gettnor, a scientifically brilliant but socially inept man on the Asperger’s-Autism spectrum. He does NOT understand other people. This is currently free, I haven't read it, but I don't think it is romance. I just love people who are "different"!
