Never thought these words would come out of my mouth - I'm really tired of the same covers - half naked men with six-pack abs and tons of tattoos. It's being way overdone.
Agreed. I'm much more attracted to an intriguing cover. One that makes me wonder. I particularly love it when I read a book and then find out that something on the cover was integral to the story.
My all time favourite cover is the Windflower by Laura London. A gorgeous guy, beautiful woman, the colouring is exotic and sexy. Plus, just enough skin to captivate the usual female audience into buying the book.

I agree with you 100%. Less is better. I have a great imagination and I prefer to use it.

Well, this one surely made me wonder.... [What the heck they were thinking]
What does it say when I'm looking at the tattoo patterns more than the half-naked aspects? And I've always enjoyed when a cover was 'well-decorated'. Yep, a bit over-done any more. But still helps to indicate level of heat within. When the guy has his shirt buttoned up except for maybe the top two, mild heat. If his sleeves aren't even rolled up...do they even kiss before the end...or even hint at kissing? Sure made it difficult when the covers were flowers, jewels or swaths of cloth. You had to know your authors back then!

Welcome to the forum! Yes, the covers are too much the same. On Goodreads forum, one thread shows the same cover photo used for 3 different romance books!
Got a freebie the other day and the cover sure qualifies for this thread. Unfortunately, I can't do links on my kindle, but the title is Mating the Alpha by Candace Ayers. They were so focused on the abs but they should have rethought that face! Bit too skull-like for me!!

here you go.
I agree with you btw! I dont even think the abs pic is any good. way overdone w/the veins etc and for the love of pete.... leave something to the imagination! I get his abs are so skinny his pants dont fit but really has ANYONE ever seen pants worn this way?? He's the most powerful wolf on the East coast.... surely he can afford a belt?!?
Not sure what is going on here - at first I thought there was something with my laptop but I switched browsers and its still there - the pitting on both people's faces. Not to mention it looks like there is a city skyline on the arm in the foreground?

The bad news...I think he has got a belt on. But it sure isn't doing much! Thanks for posting the cover, mrsc!
