citcat: I just noticed the "no inspirational" tag. (When I posted I'd only seen your main heading.). Staci Stallings does mention God, but she isn't saccharine and doesn't preach. God is a part of the character's life and is naturally mentioned. If you're still interested, I loved Coming Undone, If You Believed in Love, and Cowboy.
Sarah Eden writes excellent historicals, especially regencies, which are clean.
Carla Kelly is just about perfect at writing historical romance. She doesn't go into deep detail with intimate scenes...very tasteful.
The Icecutter's Daughter (Land of Shining Water Bk #1) by Tracie Peterson.
The Measure of Katie Calloway by Serena B. Miller. Civil War era. A woman flees her abusive husband to work as a cook in a lumber camp in Michigan. She fights her attraction to the timber owner. An ex-preacher is one of the workers.
Garters by Pamela Morsi. A woman w/ multiple suitors. The preacher is funny even when he does not intend to be.
WOW look at your list! Are most of these CRs? Thanks, ML
They are clean romances that I am trying to find in all genres. I wanted to give people a selection and show its not just historical romances but modern day too.

ml- The hero was actually a famous NASCAR driver who became blind due to an accident while racing. The h owns a flower shop and accidentally ran the H and his guide dog down while roller blading knocking both her and the guide dog into a lake. It's a cute story. 🎃

When in the mood for a medical romance, I really like Candace Calvert. She was an ER nurse but had to give it up after an injury. They feel quite authentic to me. Some Christian content, but she's not heavy handed.
