I really liked The Care and Feeding of an Alpha Male , I've re-read this more than 3x.

The books are very entertaining and they did not feel NA to me. I did not find them too ridiculous too, as far as I recall the heroines are not young 20s ingenues.

So I wasn’t sure where to put this but I just finished reading Jamie Begley’s Standing His Ground (Greer - Porter Brothers 2). I’m surprised I really enjoyed the book! I found it a fun read, was giggling while reading it. Greer was an asshole but my kind of asshole I guess haha

I just finished Dirty Rich One Night Stand by Lisa Renee Jones. The title had me fooled and I almost didn't read it. It sounds like a book from the romance book mills being pumped out with recycled plots, unauthentic dialog and repetitious sex (and includes a million bonus stories). This book isn't that. Don't get me wrong, the same old formulas are there but the characters are great especially their banter. It also has an engaging sub-plot and secondary characters. The one critism I have is that the pacing is a bit uneven. There was a point in the book where I started to get bored but it wasn't long before I was engaged again. This book has no intensity and is low angst so I would recommend this book for when a reader is looking for a mellow read.

I just finished On A Tuesday by Whitney G. Though the story was predictable and formulaic, I really enjoyed it. There wasnt a lot of character development but I did laugh out loud several times. This mellow read was just what I needed after having read a dark romance trilogy.

Gifts: A Killers Novel, Book 3 (The Killers)
I started this one last night and I'm really enjoying it. Love these stories where the H/h are mature and are good parents struggling to raise their kids.

I usually run away screaming if I see the word "angst" used to describe a book (too many horrible YA teen dramas out there), but I suddenly  found myself in the mood for something angsty so I picked up From this moment by Melanie Harlow. Single mom in a small town falls for dead husbands identical twin and feels all sorts of guilty and weird about it. I liked it, although I did sometimes want to shake the heroine for being her own worst enemy. But it had:
a) a romance between grown-ups (in their 30's)
b) a sweet guy who turns out to be rather naughty in bed (and all around the house )
c) plenty of angst
d) hot sex
e) a happy ending

So I feel I got my moneys worth

I don't typically like books set in small towns or with kids but this book was awesome. Thanks for the rec!
