A few recent reads...
Kinky Sprinkles
I was planning on reading a Laura Kaye book that is also BDSM but stumbled across this one that I had already purchased.
Kinda meh. Interesting premise, fairly strong start, and I liked that the Hs were 2 ordinary guys with regular jobs but it ended up feeling incomplete. They decide how they’re going to work out their relationship issues and that’s how it ended. I would have liked an epilogue to see how it was working.
Overall an okay, quick read but not a reread and not one I’d go out of my way to rec.
Fine as Frog Hair
Dated and waaay OTT sweet...kinda reminded me of Amy Lane and Mary Calmes a bit. Other than the ages of the Hs (19 and 24, iirc) and some mild sexual content, it read like a YA book. I liked that they built up to a relationship and I appreciated where it ended—it was a bit abrupt but it fit with how their story had played out.
Femme
Really liked it though I wish it had been longer. It’s a full story but I’m just kinda sick of basically 200 pages being considered a full book and priced accordingly:(
Still, like I said, I really liked it. The dialogue and characters felt authentic and real life and this’ll definitely be a reread. Not quite clean but pretty mild sexual content. There’s a few side characters that I hope will get their own book.
One Man's Trash (The Heretic Doms Club Book 1)
Writing and story were pretty good but very, very dark. Both Hs have issues and the younger H’s issues are severe enough that I have a hard time accepting a HEA is possible where the book left it.
Too dark for a reread but I might skim a bit if the rest of the series appeals. (I’m assuming series just going by the title)
Cowboys Don’t Ride Unicorns
Eh, I liked how the author played with stereotypes but other than that, the story was flat with kinda unbelievable situations and characters. Decently entertaining but not an author I’m going to seek out either.

He was sexually abused by his older brother who later committed suicide.
