I am thinking of buying the first book in the Rescued from Ruin series.
Anyone read it or have spoilers as to cheating or OW drama? All I see are glowing reviews and those make me leery. Unless they are true then yay me! for finding a new to me author that has great writing skills. LOL
This series is one of my favourite historical series, sweet with some steam, not gratuitous, and I think they are well written. Great characters, interesting stories, and lots of fun. This is an auto-buy series and don't worry, when the H falls for his h, that's it for him - he becomes absolutely besotted. Makes for some very funny scenes in book 2 in particular.
I have two ebooks by Elisa Braden Twelve Nights as his Mistress and The Truth about Cads and Dukes in my tbr. Maybe these posts will encourage me to read them sooner than later.
Here comes the sun even though I love that rainy day feeling!

Currently I'm halfway through Book 4 ("The Devil is a Marquess").
I am in the middle of book 3. It is hard book to read since I want to hate the MC since he was a j@ck@ss in the last books but he is on the way to redemption I think. We will see.
I think I would like it more if his book was later in the series and he redeemed himself throughout the series. His redemption seems almost rushed and not totally believable. I will finish but I am not liking this one as much as the first 2.

I agree Dennie. The weakest in the series in my view.
I raced through the first seven books, but have hit a wall when it comes to reading the final in the series, Anything but a Gentleman. It has attracted good reviews, but for some reason I can't bring myself to start it. If anyone has read this book, I'd love to know what you thought of it.

I am a fan of this author and this series, but I agree Colin was difficult for me to love. I loved all the other books, and because I recommended I've just one clicked this one. I'll let you know if I like it. I continue to re-read the first 2 books, some of my favourite historical reads. Mind you, my favourite list is at least 50! I have moved away from historicals this year, mostly reading scifi.

Thanks bj. I look forward to your thoughts once you've read it.
