mjbett, you were right about Two Man Station. It was a perfect read for me and I loved it. Totally loved it. Thank you, thank you! If any of you have any books that you think are similar, I'd love the recs.
ltr , the sequel was pretty good. I didn’t think it was as good as the first so I was maybe a little harsh in my rating but it was good. I liked it more on my second read.
I haven’t really found anything that I’d consider similar. She has a new one out in about a month. Another cop H. I’m hoping it’s a winner:)
eta...I wouldn’t even consider book 2 to be similar. It’s a cop and EMT and they’re city based. Also, subject matter is heavier. Some angst and drama in book 1 but it felt less immediate than the pressures in book 2. (You’ve prob already read book 2:))

I just got home from traveling most of the week so I'm tired BUT I don't think I found the sequel, which is why I asked for recs. I only found it on Goodreads because I typed in Lisa Henry Emergency Services, when I was scrolling, I didn't see it listed either today or when I finished book 1. Oh well -- I have it now! Thanks for letting me know, mjbett!
Blue Unicorn (3 book series) I think I might have offered these before with no takers. Still available, if anyone wants. I liked ‘em. Cyberpunk fantasy. More novella length...about 600 pgs total for the series. I can send in whatever schedule is convenient. The January 13th post in the Reading thread has more info.
Rainbow Sprinkles I liked that they were average guys with fairly normal jobs but the drama was forced. Overall pretty forgettable.
For Real (Spires Book 3) Alexis Hall. **reissued** Whole series reissued. Standalone books with a tiny bit of crossover. I can only loan this one. One of my favorites in genre.
**can loan** Red Heir Haven’t read. Picked this up to finish up the Amazon credit but not really feelin’ it. Nothing against the book (I didn’t even open it) but just a funky reading mood
Impossibly Fond So cute! I really enjoyed it. I hate to call it fluff cuz there’s decent world building and the writing is good but that’s the word that comes to mind. Just what I needed
I guess Manifold Press is closing. (Amazon kills another indie publisher ). I didn’t see an exact date but sometime before the end of the year. Anyway, picked up a couple of their offerings that looked interesting. Haven’t read ‘em but the lending rights will be gone when they close. Not sure if/when anything will be reissued. So might as well see if anyone’s interested.
