dvcbunny American Queen by Sierra Simone. It's the first book in a trilogy.
This story has two heroes. One of them is the president of the USA (Ash) and the other one its his vicepresident (Embry). The heroine's name is Greer.
So Greer mets Ash when she's seventeen years old and she gives him her first kiss. After that he goes to the war and she sends him letters he never answers. A year later, they meet again in a party where they almost kiss again, but he stops the whole thing saying it's wrong and all that. Obviously she's crazy in love with him and therefore, she's destroyed to know by someone else that Ash is about to marry another woman. She leaves the party with a broken heart, crying, and that's where she meets Embry. Embry comforts her, makes her stop thinking about what happened at the party, he behaves like a real gentleman. And she doesn't care that Embry is Ash's best friend, the guy who accompanied Ash in the war because they're both ex-soldiers, she doesn't mind any of this because at the end of the night, Greer likes Embry and therefore both end up in a hotel room where she gives him her first time.
Embry knows that Greer is suffering because of another man but he doesn't know that this man is Ash. So the next day when the two separate, despite the promises Embry makes to Greer about calling her and inviting her out, he never does. And years go by before Greer sees Embry again because he finally called her to see her in a restaurant. But he did't ask her out to declare his eternal love or anything like it. He called her in Ash's name because Ash's wife died and he wants to marry her.
So basically, Ash sends Embry to woo her in his name.
This is a story that will have you with your eyes wide open trying to keep up with what's happening. Because at first glance it seems that Embry and Ash are focused solely on Greer but it's a lie. Ash and Embry have their own story and it's a tragic and beautiful story, in which Ash proposed to Embry twice and both times Embry rejected him. It's a story about knowing who you are and what you want, in this you'll find tragedies, betrayals, love and forgiveness. And the most interesting thing about this trilogy is to see how three people who love each other can share each other without letting jealousy and insecurities interfere between them.

Frist book (American Queen) it's told from Greer's POV.
Second book (American Prince) it's told from dual POVs, Embry and Greer's.
And the third book (American King) focused solely in Ash comes out in october 31. You can pre-order it now, I think.
