Lately, I've been hearing a lot about book reviews being deleted on Amazon.
While it's great that Amazon tries to eliminate book reviews that are from questionable sources, apparently a lot of legitimate book reviews are being deleted too.
Here are a few tips from Laurie Spice, a blogger -
"I blog and although my blog partners and I still have all of our reviews up (knock on wood). I can't tell you how many of my blogger friends have had their reviews wiped and only one that I know of has gotten them back. None of us have our FB accounts linked to Amazon, nor are our GR accounts since they are owned by Amazon now. It's also good to keep a decent ratio of ARC's vs. Books you bought on Amazon. Tell your reviewers not to say they received an ARC in exchange for a review. This will get you flagged and taken down in a heartbeat. We say "I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book." and so far its gone okay. Others don't say anything at all although the FCC requires it, so I can't recommend going that route. By Amazon rules now, you cannot require a review in exchange for an ARC. That doesn't mean you have to give anyone though. If they don't review, don't give them the next one."
I would also like to suggest that you copy your reviews and post them to this site. By doing so, you will not only help us find more great books, but you'll have a back-up just in case your reviews are deleted.
Please remember that you must post the actual review and not a link view your review.
