I waited a long time and didn't have high hopes for Cassie's story. Lora Leigh knocked it out of the park. Cassie and Dod were well matched. The book had plot as well as steamy sex. Enjoyed learning about Dog's family history and the identity of Cassie's fairy god mother ghost. Editing issues of the past books were gone. Solid story for a series that I had all but give up on. I'll defininitely read the next book in the series

bsedam - thanks for your review. I was wondering if you felt that one needed to have read the 2-3 books immediately preceding this one. I don't really want to catch up on this series, as I gave up around book 15. But if I could read Cassie's story as an almost standalone, then I'd be more likely to give it a try.

I didn't read the last 2 or 3 books. I felt comfortable enough with knowing the main secondary characters such as Cassie, her dad, Dash, her mom, Elizabeth and Jonas, head of the breed bureau. It all fell back into place.

Thanks, that helps a lot. I think I will give it go. I't's the only story that I still wanted to read.
I just finished this book. I was wondering if anyone remembers what book deals with Lobo, Tiberus and Khileen from the epilogue. I just don't recall reading much about them and the back story discussed in the epilogue is pretty intriguing.
