I just finished Crow by A. Zavarelli and I liked it. I used to avoid mafia books like the plague but I'm realizing there are good mob books out there.
Have you read Deklan by Shay Savage? This is a recent (June 20, 2017) release that was discounted during October, and listed among sale books just before they closed the Amazon forums. Virgin h is supposed to be married to mobster in payment for her father's debts and ends up (fortunately) with his henchman instead. HEA.
I didn't read any mob romance books until recently, when I happened on the Amazon jealous/possessive forum, and was pointed to Mia Knight's Crimelord series. I had already read Kresley Cole's Game Maker trilogy (recommended early in this thread -- they're excellent).

ariane - I just finished Keeping Lily and I enjoyed it. I wish there had been a bit more character development but it was definitely worth a read.
There's a second book by the same authors: Stealing Amy: A Dark Romance (Disciples Book 2) by Izzy Sweet and Sean Moriarty, which is also on KU. I agree with you that these books could do with more character development.

Thanks! I just finished Buy Me by Alexa Riley and needed something new to read.

I just finished Menace and have started Grievous. I really enjoyed Menace. The H is not soft and fluffy (mafia type story) and always seems one twitch away from killing somebody. Hope Grievous continues on the same vein.
I posted this information earlier over in the Book Bargains thread, but it may be useful to mention it in this thread. Book 4 is Carmen's Book, Awakened by Sin
Has anyone read Accidental Witness and the rest of the series? OMG, these books. I couldn't stop reading until I had finished them all. I literally read no other book until I finished the series. Mateo is something else.
It's a series where you have to read the books in order, even when the book is about a different couple. They are all interlinked.
Reading Order for best enjoyment: Accidental Witness Surviving Mateo (Irreparable Damage and Irreparable Lives - duet not Morelli but related) Once Burned Family Ties Resisting Mateo Coming Home Last Words Entrapment
One comment for people like bookwyrm , who may not like Mafia themed books because of the general activities and violence that are part of these books: The Game Maker Series, and particularly The Master and The Player, uses this as a context for the characters and as a background for their personalities, rather than as part of the active story line. (More of this leaks out in the first book, The Professional, where the h loses the father that she only briefly gets to find and know, because he is a Mafia figure). So you can read those books for the j/p, OTT males who obsess over their women without worrying about the rivalries, gang warfare, etc.
The same comment is not true of Mia Knight's Crimelord series (also very good, but with possible triggers). And Book 4 of that series, Awakened by Sin (Crime Lord Series Book 4), is now available for pre-order at $2.99, with a publication date of March 30, 2018.
With the discounted prices of the earlier books, they are no longer available through KU.

Once I finished the first one, I just HAD TO READ THE NEXT and then the next . . . Then I was finished and a little sad that there were no more.
Sparrow by L.J. Shen. Hero is the son of a dead mobster. He's called 'The Fixer' in Boston, because he can make you or break you in the city. He's bad news. Heroine is forced to marry him.
Dubious by Charmaine Pauls. You just have to read it, this is AMAZING.
