I prefer virgin heroines in my romance books, i'm just about to start reading Jessica Clare's A virgin's guide to misbehaving.
Welcome Nameless---
Some HR heroes make assumptions about the heroine's 'experience.' She can't satisfy him b/c he either assumes she's too pure (no experience) or she's a slut.If they had s*x and she was a virgin, he may accuse her of 'trapping him (like he's a seal?).' The hero could prevent assumptions by sitting down and talking to her. And for the heroes who-are-not-the-sharpest-knives-in-the-drawer, if a gently bred HR heroine is no longer a virgin, it is a good bet she was raped or traumatized in some other way or deceived big-time. Off my soap-box now, but hoping romance authors will listen??
h's who are virgins Playing for Keeps- R.L. Mathewson Neighbors and Co-workers who don't get along and an incident brought them together and they discover their love for baseball, and the rest is history.
Kiss and Angel-Susan Elizabeth Phillips A forced marriage of convenience, a circus makes for an interesting setting and outcomes. H is an a A-hole to the h, but is brought to his knees by her.
