2nd wife. Hannah the heroine, 5 years her junior, was a scholar of sorts, and fascinated by Saxon architecture. Miles had 3 and
5 YO daughters, enchanted by Hannah & indifferent to Lottie. Lottie gave Han a dos/ dont's of social rules, & verbally castigated
Han in front of near strangers. Lottie ruined the story for me.
