Jasmine was only 18 when she chose her family over Tariq. Now, four years later, she travels to his country to see if he will take her back. Tariq marries her immediately to bind her to him so she cannot run. But he vows never to trust her with his love again.
This is a very emotional story. Tariq is unwilling to trust the love that Jasmine offers. At times Jasmine stubbornly refuses to give in. She doggedly offers her love in the hope that she can build the trust. At other times, she is so hurt by his words or actions that she fights back. Every time Tariq starts to feel something (even remorse) he pulls back again. This was a VERY satisfying read.

This book was recommended on another thread last night (perhaps by you !?)and made me eager to re-read it. I didn't remember it from the first time so it was like reading a good book for the first time. Nice. Great recommendation
