This author has a nice writing style that drew me in right away. The H is a j/p H but there weren't alot of jealous scenes probably due to the length of the book. It's very steamy with alot of sex in the beginning and the H is great. I loved this H and how he treated the h. He was very good to her. He doted on her and she was his everything. The h is likeable and not a winey wench. They don't argue nor bicker. There's no cheating, nor ow/om drama.
Initially, I loved this book but ended up liking it rather than loving it. This is because I wanted more story development and clarity at certain times. For example, when she was kidnapped, I was very confused as to what was happening. I understand the h was drugged and out of it but as a reader I didn't want to be out of it with her. Also, there was the following trigger -
***** spoiler warning***** The h is raped and it's described. The reader is there when it happens and the bad guy comes in her. Later, he forces her to give him oral. He also hits her multiple times. When this happened, I was looking forward to some good angsty moments and the H destroying the bad guy. This didn't happen as the bad guy committed suicide and the h didn't remember the rape. The H and h never knew for sure if she had been raped. It was a let down to me that no tribute was paid to her suffering.
Overall, I like this and it was an unexpected find for me. I will be looking at the author's other books and reading them sometime
