Exiles Savage Lady was the third and last book in the Survivors of the Apocalypse series. As Forrest successfully abducts Dr. Lake from the dome in book 2, his sister Kerry and ex guard Robin are left behind. Kerry has been attracted to Robin since she met him. Robin is attracted to Kerry but doesn't take her seriously. He was exiled from the dome because of an injury and doesn't think any woman from the outside would seriously want him. Plus, Robin has other things to think about. He has friends inside the dome to save and a score to settle with those in power. He has to keep his friends alive until Forest and Madden return with a way to mass produce the vaccine. Kerry learns there's so much more to Robin as they sneak around the city evading guards. Robin staying behind wasn't an accident at all. It was a well thought out plan to convince the people inside the dome to revolt against the president and his cronies. All the while using the few doses of vaccine they have to enlist some help in reaching the people. They struggle to sneak in and out of the dome, smuggling food for the starving children. Once Kerry and Robin understood each other's motivations they made a great couple.
I enjoyed this series quite a bit but then this kind of story is my fav. I like that Susan Kelley doesn't drag out her series'. The complete story arc is resolved within the three books about three different couples. I noticed some minor editorial issues. It didn't bother me or detract from the story. The books have to be read in order to follow the story arc.
