Incidential Happenstance
This is a Rockstar romance. The premise is that an average girl meets a famous, extremely good looking rockstar/actor while at the local dive bar. The H is in disguise but the h recognizes him. She talks to him, thanks him for his music, buys him a drink and then leaves him alone as he wants his privacy. She doesn't hit on him, ask him for is autograph nor try to take a picture with him. She also doesn't let others in the bar know who he is. Because of this, the H is intrigued by her. When an obnoxious man hits on the h, he rescues her and they leave the bar together. Again, she doesn't ask him for an autograph, picture, concert tickets nor try to hit on him. It's a first for him and he decides to spend more time with her. They hit another bar, a karaoke bar and sing together. She surprises him with her great voice and their easy conversation. They go to another bar, a bar where the 1 year memorial for her dead fiance is being held and all her friends are there and he has a great time. No one recognizes him and she doesn't give him away. He asks her to spend the next day with him at the concert venue where he's to perform the following evening and of course she says yes. They spend the day together and enjoy each others company. They finally kiss a bit before the concert. He treats her very well, is extremely sweet and charming with her and she's thrilled. After all, she's a long time fan, goes to his every concert and he's one of the world's sexiest men. She tells him many, many times how talented he is, how his songs saved her life, etc. etc. etc. Urgh! The celebrity adoration she bestowed on him was just too much. It interfered with the believability of their relationship. It made their relationship more like something a high school girl would fantasize about rather than something that was real. Oh and the H? Meh! He's not my type at all. He's a sweet beta H and not a rocker bad boy.
Though initially intrigued, I became bored and dnf at 51%.
