The site that was asked about, I blieve by chele aka hulagirl , did look fishy. I looked at it and looked it up on Google and FB. Everything from poor grammar in the site description and tagline to pop ups on the book page screamed "pirated." I deleted the comment.

(Any hint of moving pirated books on the board can lead to the board being shut down. Plus, illegal, so there's that. We've even had legitimate links to Amazon flagged by overeager authors who filed a complaint with Google. It took forever to straighten that out. I'm a little obsessive about making sure our links are on the up-and-up.)

Sometimes if a book has been offered in ebook format previously, the library will still have a copy if you have a library membership. I have found a few in my local library catalog and the Brooklyn Public Library ebooks that are no longer available for purchase anywhere, but the library still had it to loan. That might be an option for you.
