The things I liked about this book:
Things I didn't like:
Even after all the dislikes I would still re-read this and I rated 4****
- The H does not look like a typical H. He is a demon and he looks like a demon. Horns, red eyes and claws.
- He only has eyes for the h. As soon as he sees her he is obsessed. She out witts him and he loves it!
- It is not insta love on h part. She is not put off by his looks but she has been warned by her foster mother about the men on the island. The island is a prison island. Morthanion doesn't recognize her as his mate right off but he does feel something different for her and he doesn't know what it means right away.
- There is a lot of alone time with just the h/H so you get a lot of insight into h feelings. He doesn't share with her as much since he is over a millenia old and he shared about how many lives he has taken and that he feels no remorse about it. He is a demon and that is what he was made to do.
- There is some suspence. You don't know what Aria is and she has some power and the other inhabitats of the island, another demon and his gang, want her so he can keep control of the island and thus control Morthanian with her.
- Once he realized/felt she was his mate he never wavered in his protection and possessiveness.
Things I didn't like:
- He was so violent with Aria. He didn't have much control over his emotions or his actions.
- He couldn't control himself and I feel that he almost raped her at one point. I somewhat understand. He is a demon and used to just taking what he wants and doesn't need to be gentle but she is a virgin and had never really met a man.
- She was almost raped by 2 inhabitants of the island. She was avoiding Morthanian and didn't come to shore and was dehydrated and hadn't eaten so when she did she met the men and they gave her alcohol and she was drunk for the first time ever.
Even after all the dislikes I would still re-read this and I rated 4****
