I've read this book twice and STILL can't remember the name or author. MoC, h propses to H because he needs money, she has it but no prospects because of unsightly birthmark she always covers with a veil. He helps her learn to accept herself and get out of her isolation, and also finds her brother who thought the h had died in childhood.

Glad I could help, agreads. For all my efforts to put tags on the books, I had a time locating this one myself. Immediately thought it was Mary Balogh but I couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Wasn’t tagged under “A Birthmark”... that would have been too easy and made too much sense! Then thought it might have been Jo Beverley or Mary Jo Putney, but no. Had so many “Marriage of Convenience” books. But what finally got me where I needed to be was thinking the hero needed to marry for money.
The tag I had on it was “Birthmark on Face” but since it wasn’t easy to find in the gazillion tags I’ve come up with, didn’t immediately see it. Anyhow, sorry for the long ramble but your search became my search in earnest. And you can be sure I’ve got it tagged with everything I could think of now.
