Olivia was the unpaid governess of her viscount bro Charlie & SIL's many children. She
loved the kids but was overworked. Bro was in debt and they had insufficient food. Charlie
wanted sis to wed a wealthy landowner who she didn't trust. Olivia ran the household and
solved all problems. Bro made bad investments and overspent on clothes/ fancy items for
his wife.
Charlie had been bullied at Eaton. A bigger/ taller boy intervened. This boy became the Earl
of Kingston called "King." Present day- Charlie rescued King who was deeply in his cups and
hallucinating. Olivia nursed King back to health. We gradually learned King's dad cut off his funds.
Olivia "Livvy" & King were like oil and water. But King genuinely wanted to stop drinking alcohol.
I enjoyed the MCs-neither pretended to be perfect. Worth reading again.
