New to me author, clean, some kisses

Historical romance set in Scotland. Father made his money in trade and wants daughter to marry into the aristocracy. Impoverished Scottish Earl has inherited an estate and needs to marry someone with money. Great misunderstanding at the start when Julianna arrives a couple days later than expected. The Earl and his brothers take offence as had no notification she would be late (which I thought was silly), father was supposed to send a letter notifying them but didnt. They behave like some uncouth heathens and Juliana not much better behaves a touch snooty and arrogant. So off to a bad start. Some great banter as the brothers misbehave but Julianna catches on and softens and slowly wins them over. Not much really happens, set over a week (or two?) prepare for engagement party, have party get married and eventually get our happy every after.
What frustrated me was the authors continual use of misunderstandings between the Earl and Julianna to keep the story going. If not for this tactic this read would have been a solid 4. Lucky both were reasonable mature adults so they resolved issues pretty quickly. But by the time it came to the wedding night I had had enough of "misunderstandings". When Julianna does the big escape towards the end I was ready to give up but luckily the Earl came to his senses quickly so it wasnt drawn out and I could sigh with relief at the epilogue.
Other reviewers have rated this book much higher than me so I have to conclude this book was just not for me.
Listened to this via Hoopla, narrator was Abigail Langham and she was acceptable.
