I read it back in 2014 and have it marked as 4 stars so it held my attention and didn't have a tstl h. What I can recall it was a good MC book. Since it's been awhile and a few hundred books later, lol) I can't remember a lot, but what I do remember I liked. Maybe it's time for a re-read. Hopefully someone else with a better memory will be able to give you more info.

Ikie - Thank you! I'm glad the h wasn't tstl. I can't stand tstl h's but I tend to overlook them if the H is awesome. A 4-star read sounds promising. I appreciate your input and I hear you on the few hundred books later - lol.
Banana Boat - Thanks for your input. I still haven't read this series, lol. So the one about his dad was your favorite? Which book is that? Are all the books stand alone? I would probably like the one with his father too.
Samantha K, The book is called "Cal". All of the books in this series are the first names of the various H's. I think its the 5th in the series however I read it first and had no problems. Yes, you can read them as a stand alone. Its my kind of MC book, no rape and no going from partner to partner.
I've read the whole series Cole was 5 stars for me. Books 2 & 5 were 4 stars and books 2 & 3 were 3 stars. A pretty good series IMO.
Yeah, I agree Judy - on the whole this series is one of my faves. No real duds in the bunch. Good for those who don't like 'em too "triggery" or overly gritty.

Thanks, Neeta. I've seen this series go on sale in the past so hopefully it won't be too long before it does so again.
Max Jackson, patched member of the Knight's MC, is someone Wren Armstrong’s father considers a friend. She shouldn't want him. Shouldn't need him. But she does. She always has.
When Wren is put in danger while away at school, she's forced to return home to Hawthorne, Nevada, on the back of the bike of the very man she left to avoid.
That first kiss is everything she ever dreamed it would be and everything Max has tried like hell to deny. But when danger looms with Wren at its center, Max will stop at nothing to protect her. Even if it means losing everything else he loves in the process.
This is the story of Max and Wren. The first in the Ride Series Second Generation
Max can be read as a stand-alone, but it's recommended that you read the First Generation Ride series.

But when fear becomes reality, Maddox and Francesca will have to decide if their dreams are worth fighting for.
