So there are a bunch of books that are being put out under Aurora Rose Reynolds Until series - not written or vetted by her but written by other authors. I have been slowly reading them all and for the most part they are not bad. A few duds but that is to be expected with so many different author styles.
Until Falco
Then we have this one. This is barely ok, not good, for just a regular KU book. Nico Mayson makes very brief completely out of character appearances rambling on about the "boom". Made me wonder if the author actually read his book cause this was not him. Book is in two pov's. H and you would think h? No. H and his female former fwbs partner. They seriously contemplate renewing the benefits part and only stop because neither has a condom. h barely rates a mention and what she gets is not good. There is no boom. I don't think this author researched this subject at all. If there is a boom, the H does not continue to flirt and eye up other women. H is not a good guy. H is not a good H. Neither he or his partner are good cops. The h is not even present for the epilogue. It is H and former partner flirting and arranging to work together again even moving her to their city so she can "work" with him. This felt like a prequel to a cheating story involving the H and his partner and not a good cheating story.
