Looking for book where heroine is an unwilling "companion" to alien hero

I read this book about six or seven years (maybe even earlier), following recommendations on the Amazon readers' forum. It's all a little fuzzy now but from what I can recall, aliens have invaded earth and the heroine is the alien hero's unwilling, appointed sexual companion. Or she may have been blackmailed into it? The story begins (again, I may be completely wrong) when the arrangement has already been in place for a while (not too long) and she's not happy.
