[SOLVED] Please help me remember this book by the single scene I remember :(

Hello, everyone!
This might be a tough one, but I've tried searching and can't remember it for the life of me...
I'm after a romance novel set in the olden days. It is PROBABLY by Monica McCarty, though I might be wrong.
The ONLY THING I remember is that there's a scene (which I believe is in the beginning of the book) where the woman is being escorted by the guy on a ship/boat. Their relationship is yet to develop but somehow they are to sleep in the same bed... and because of bad weather the ship keeps lurching and throwing her (because she's so light) at him on the bed... until he finally grabs her and stills her by throwing his leg over her or something... and then, of course, he is all hot and bothered because of her body.
I'm SO sorry, but this is all I have to go on. I've read so many of these books they've kind of started blending together in my mind... especially since it's been a while and my memory is fuzzy. It would be incredible if someone could identify it, though.
