hello
i am looking for a book that i read....i cant seem to remember the name
what i remember is - i think its a moc but the hero and heroine quickly start liking each other. they have lunch togther at hero's office every day, but heroine has a secret. she has a sick daughter. she needs money for her treatment which is why she made a deal with hero. hero starts to think she's cheating on him and he follows her and sees her hugging a man(her father in law)
he starts to ignore her and doesnt listen to any explanations.......it seems like he goes back to his ex
heroine tries really hard to get him to listen to her but he refuses. she tries to give him a present for his birthday but he never looks at it and throws it in the garbage
finally heroine gives up and leaves
hero then finds out the gift is that heroine is pregnant with his baby and goes after her and finds out about her sick daughter

is the daughter in the hospital or a clinic and the father-in-law scene takes place outside his cottage? Also do you think it might be a harlequin. Thinking I read something similar a while back. Just can't remember enough to decide where to start looking. I really need to do a better job with getting books added and categorized into Goodreads.

Why is it, the more books I read the taller my tbr stack gets?

That might be the one I was thinking of too. I don't remember reading it but, when I borrowed it from KU to check, it opened to the end. So obviously I have read it. I've skimmed a bit of it and am pretty sure it's the one romancejunkie is looking for. Little girl in hospital, pregnant and mention of whether he opened his gift or not. Anyway, now I want to re-read it. Actually think I might one-click it.
EDITED TO ADD: Okay, I just found the mention of him seeing her hugging another man (father-in-law).
Thanks chellb. It was driving me nuts not remembering. (Off to add to Goodreads before I forget again.)
